Heyyy! While we’re grillin’ on those beaches, I come bearing YA news of the month! June has been the month with the biggest reveals so far and I’m so excited to share!
Penguin’s First in Line has become Underlined
Penguin Publishing is letting go of their sidekick, First in Line. As you might know, most publishers have their own sidekicks like Epic Reads:Harpercollins or Riveted:Simon and Schuster. But now Penguin has given theirs up for an upgrade called Underlined. Now their snazzing it up with beach towels and zipper canvas totes at the conventions. Underlined is still at the beginning stage but their newsletter just opened up this month and is slowly coming along.
John Green Returns
He’s back with a new book! Thank goodness because we were all left worried with four. It comes out in October this year:
“It all begins with a fugitive billionaire and the promise of a cash reward.
Turtles All the Way Down is about lifelong friendship, the intimacy of an unexpected reunion, Star Wars fan fiction, and tuatara. But at its heart is Aza Holmes, a young woman navigating daily existence within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.”
Sara Raasch has a title for her pirate book
Sarah J Maas revealed the cover for Tower of Dawn
According to her, Chaol’s novella will be paralleled to Empire of Storms. Haha thank goodness she didn’t leave him out of the fifth book for no reason. To be honest though, I was a bit disappointed with the cover. I was hoping for it to have at least a person on the cover, but a gray shield works too…
Red Queen now comes in collector’s edition
I was almost dead when I saw this. A parallel to the original in red = omg yesss.
Brandon Reichs’ Genesis (Nemesis Book Two) had a cover reveal
I think were all going to be broke by November, but for now I wish you all happy reading!
